So where are all the teams
Not to flame but I thought 8v8 was supposed to bring teams back to HA...looks like winning halls has proved me wrong
NOTE: 8v8 > 6v6
Bonus to anyone who can guess what we were running and abusing before it meets the impending nerfbat.

I moved on to another game as I know many others have. Anet took way to long to "fix" HA. I predicted at the beginning of the year Anet would bring back 8v8 but would not remove kill count, what a surprise...

People were all probably waiting in the vault and did not know what to do in there! Felt embaressed and did not ask their team leader so they pulled out the plug to fake an Err7! .
This is my theory anyway.

If 8v8 takes longer to form groups as some have argued, then there will be more districts for the same number of people. The only people showing up in districts are those that have yet to get their team ready, everyone else is too busy playing.

Waiting for skill balance, because they are sick of fighting the same gimmick builds over and over again.

To be fair, this happened at 1 AM and there are 3-4 districts (after double fame ended) as opposed to 1 district + 5 people idling in ID2 at the same time of day in 6v6...

A balanced build? Well, that's what I'd call it if soul reaping, healer's boon, OoA, soul reaping, RaO, and soul reaping were balanced.
Do I win the prize?

Notice I did not say good teams - I said teams, which implies any team. And please explain to me how fighting searing flames, invoke, icy veins, thumperway, paragayway, rit spike is any different from fighting iway and bspike every match like it was before the 6v6 change. I'll give you a hint - there are 6 scrubways to fight instead of 2.
Oh I almost forgot, 8v8 was the end all fix all solution to bring people back to HA (I am sure I don't need to find a thread to cite since there are so many in this forum saying that). IIRC there were few who were wanting balance - most were just screaming "We want 8v8 back b/c 6v6 limits our builds or 6v6 is junk or some other variation of how lame 6v6 is.

I havent seen killcount in Halls come up in awhile and the February 14th update said "The “kill count” objective has been removed temporarily from rotation in the Hall of Heroes. This change was made to better facilitate testing of 8v8."
The February 19th update said "Reset party size in Heroes' Ascent to 6."
But nothing of re-enabling kill count and from my last 10 Halls matches 8 were relic runs, 1 ghostly cap and 1 alliance battle. Also, watching observer I havent noticed it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
And why would anyone want that old lets sit around on our ass for 6 minutes (4:00 when they made tombs a 3way instead of a 5way) until the timer hits 2:00 before we decide to do anything garbage back. It was boring and required no skill - sorry spamming PD and cg rangers does not count as skill. Granted it would be better than relic running in halls.
Anyways 8v8 is back - you all got what you kept asking for - now come back so my scrub thumperway can roll you in 2 minutes plx
EDIT: @ Alleji - no fair you were there and it was 12:30 CST Hardly late for the West Coast and Pacific Rim countries

That's an exageration, in old 8v8 there was a fair amount of balanced, degen, and shutdown builds, IWAY was nerfed to hell so it wasn't around much anymore, and when it was, it was easy to beat.

Many people never asked for ANET to screw things up with objectives changes, we wanted normal halls with normal objectives, instead they give us relic run halls, kill count, and AB trash.

It was fun, and much better than what it currently is, i should not have been changed, I'll tell you right now if you can't cap against PD or seeking arrows you are bad at the game. Crying about how lame and unskilled it was does not make you good at this game.

Might of been nub hour you were playing then? Hell I wouldn't play either with these retarded ass mechanics. Like many people have said before it's not the party size, its the mechanics.
I use to like going to broken tower and courtyard, but not I just tell myself if i'm lucky i will skip them.

If by a fair amount you mean 1 out of every 10 teams forming then yes. And yes IWAY was easy to beat - yet it was extraordinary popular...

Can you please say where I said I could NOT cap through PD or cg/seeking spam? I would very much like to be enlighted of what you are assuming I have said...What - thats right I didn't say that. Please stop misreading what I type, kthx

And what does that make you since you are QQing about the current Halls objectives?
Hint - not good at this game like me, apparently

It was more than that, but balanced right now doesn't exist. Actualy IWAY was almost dead after the latest nerf.

I've heard this all before from others and really I don't see what problem is. There are two possible choices, #1 you are bad at the game, #2 you are jealous of when people held halls with interupts against noobs. The fact is that it's a minor issue to cap against PD and seeking arrows, as they both have obvious counters and weaknesses, and yet for some reason you see the need to cry about them. You only need to bring a couple utility skills, and your good to cap, its wasn't that hard.
